The Embassy of the Republic of Chad in India, together with Indo-African Trade and Economic Council, convened a strategic meeting in New Delhi on August 6, 2025, to advocate for priority projects concerning Chad’s National Development Plan “Chad-Connection 2030.” The meeting was convened by Her Excellency Madam Ildjima Badda Mallot, Ambassador of Chad to India, which was the first step in mobilizing global partners before the High-Level Round Table in Abu Dhabi, scheduled for September 9–10, 2025.
Ambassador Mallot presented Chad, its advantages as an investment and destination for trade, specifically the country’s economic opportunities in partnership with its improving business climate, and the strong political will of Chad President Marshal Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno for the structural and sustainable transformation of the economy across key sectors. One acquiesce that got attention was when Bharti Airtel Group Public Policy Officer employed by Bharti, recommended that Indian investors and stakeholders should consider the positive investment climate in Chad and that they should explore the investment opportunities across the wide range of sectors and sectors of growth.
The meeting concluded with the signing of several letters of intent in sectors such as health, agriculture, agro-food processing, education, energy, and infrastructure; practicing evidence of today Indian stakeholders’ increasing enthusiasm to become aware and potentially to become formally involved in a collaborative partnership to facilitate Chad’s vision to 2030.
