Embassy of Ukraine in India Honors First Batch of Jindal Global University Interns on India’s Independence Day

On August 15, 2025 – India’s 79th Independence Day – the Embassy of Ukraine in New Delhi hosted a special ceremony to recognize the first group of interns from O.P. Jindal Global University who successfully completed their Summer Internship at the Embassy.

His Excellency Dr. Oleksandr Polishchuk, Ambassador of Ukraine to India, along with Embassy colleagues, presented Certificates of Completion to the five interns: Shubhangi Sharma, Aryan Gupta, Prarabdh Seth, Ruchir Ketkar, and Animesh Panwar.

The ceremony was also joined online from Kyiv by distinguished experts:

Dr. Mridula Ghosh, Board Chair, East European Development Institute (EEDI) & Associate Professor, National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy

Ms. Maria Tomak, Human Rights Expert

Mr. Dmytro Shulga, Program Director, International Renaissance Foundation

Dr. Olena Bordilovska, Head of the New Challenges Department, National Institute for Strategic Studies in Kyiv

Each intern was awarded two honors:

A Certificate of Completion from the Embassy of Ukraine in India for their dedicated contributions across Embassy departments.

A Certificate of Achievement from EEDI, following their induction course on Ukraine’s politics, human rights, foreign policy, culture, and history, organized under the project Ukraine and South Asia: Open Dialogues 2.0 with support from the International Renaissance Foundation.

The Embassy expressed its warm wishes for the interns’ future success, highlighting the possibility that some may go on to serve in the Indian Foreign Service or as experts in Ukrainian–Indian relations.

The event also reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to deepening cooperation with O.P. Jindal Global University and the East European Development Institute. Special appreciation was extended to Dr. Mridula Ghosh and EEDI, as well as to the Jindal Office of Career Services — Vice Dean Prof. Meenakshi Tomar, Ms. Saumya Singh, and Prof. Tejas S. Dangore — for their crucial role in making the internship program possible and meaningful.
