New Delhi, November 18 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Nikolai Patrushev, Aide to the President of Russia and Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board, during the latter’s visit to the Indian capital. The discussions focused on broadening the scope of Russia-India cooperation, with particular emphasis on collaboration in the maritime sector.

According to officials, both sides highlighted their strong interest in enhancing strategic engagement aimed at strengthening maritime capabilities, advancing joint projects, and supporting long-term regional stability. The meeting also served as an opportunity to exchange views on ongoing bilateral initiatives across defense, trade, and technological domains.

In addition, the leaders reviewed preparations for the upcoming Russia-India Summit scheduled for early December. The summit is expected to outline new avenues for cooperation and reaffirm the longstanding strategic partnership between the two nations.
