The Embassy of Finland in New Delhi hosted a special reception earlier this week at the Ambassador’s Residence to celebrate Finland’s 108th Independence Day. The event brought together colleagues, partners, government representatives and members of the diplomatic community.

Shri Sibi George, Secretary (West) at India’s Ministry of External Affairs, attended as Guest of Honor. In his address, he highlighted the significance of the strong and growing cooperation between Finland and India.

This year’s celebration embraced a blue-and-white jazz club theme. Guests enjoyed performances by renowned European jazz saxophonist Pekka Pylkkänen, accompanied by pianist Roberto Tarenzi from Italy, as well as local musicians Lohan Jayasekara on drums and Divij on bass.

The Embassy extended warm Independence Day greetings from New Delhi, expressing gratitude to all who joined in marking the occasion.
