Qalqilya (West Bank) — According to a report published by the Palestine Information Center, a Palestinian man was killed on Monday evening by Israeli gunfire in the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its teams were handed over the victim after he was wounded by live ammunition. CPR was administered at the scene in an attempt to save him, but his death was confirmed shortly afterward.
According to medical sources, the victim had sustained extremely critical injuries. After he was handed over at the Qalqilya DCO checkpoint, he was transferred to Darwish Nazzal Governmental Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The incident occurred amid already sensitive conditions in the northern West Bank, further deepening tensions in the area.
