Israeli attacks continue despite the fragile ceasefire in Gaza. Air, ground, and naval operations have targeted several areas, including Rafah, eastern Gaza City, al-Bureij camp, and Khan Yunis. Residential buildings and displacement centers have also been affected in the attacks.
According to local sources, two Palestinians were killed and several others injured in an attack on Al-Tuffah Park in the eastern part of Gaza City on Thursday. Meanwhile, medical sources reported that Ahmed Yahya Ahmed Rasras died on Thursday from wounds he had sustained about a month earlier in an Israeli strike in southern Gaza.
The report also stated that on Wednesday evening, Hani Abdel Karim Salem Abu Jreiban (41) was killed during shelling in the Abu al-Ajeen area, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
According to Gaza authorities, 649 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire took effect, including 198 children and 85 women, while 1,662 people have been injured.
Since October 7, 2023, more than 72,000 Palestinians have been killed in the ongoing conflict in Gaza, around 172,000 have been injured, and over 8,000 are reported missing. According to estimates by the United Nations, approximately 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, with reconstruction costs estimated at around $70 billion.
