192 settler attacks in the West Bank in two weeks: several people killed, displacement, and heavy damage to property.

In the past two weeks, there has been a surge in attacks by Israeli settlers in the West Bank. According to Moayyed Shaaban, the head of the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, a total of 192 attacks have been recorded in various areas of the West Bank during this period.

Moayyed Shaaban said that settlers are intensifying attacks on Palestinian villages and communities by taking advantage of the ongoing war in the region and rising regional tensions. These attacks include shooting at civilians, burning homes and property, and attempts to impose new realities on the ground. According to him, the attacks are becoming more organized and widespread.

Attacks concentrated in several governorates

According to the report, the highest number of attacks occurred in Al-Khalil (Hebron), where 47 incidents were recorded. This was followed by Tubas with 42 incidents, Nablus with 35, Bethlehem with 14, and occupied Jerusalem with 12 incidents. Incidents were also reported in Salfit, Jericho, and Qalqilya.

Palestinians killed in the attacks

In the past two weeks, six Palestinians have been killed in settler attacks.

On March 2, 2026, a group of settlers attacked the eastern area of Qaryut village in Nablus and opened fire on residents. In this attack, two brothers were killed, while three other people were injured.

On March 7, settlers opened fire on Palestinian shepherds who were grazing their livestock in Wadi al-Rakhim in the Masafer Yatta area of Al-Khalil (Hebron). In this attack, one young man was killed, while his brother Khalid was injured.

On March 8, settlers attacked the village of Khirbet Abu Falah in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate. The attack took place in the presence of Israeli forces. During the incident, Israeli forces used live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas against residents.

In this attack, three Palestinians were killed, including one person who died from the effects of tear gas before reaching the hospital. Four other people were injured.

Forced displacement of Bedouin communities

According to Moayyed Shaaban, recent attacks have forced four Palestinian Bedouin communities to be displaced. As a result, 191 people from 37 families have been affected, including 65 women and 106 children.

  • On March 8, settlers displaced 11 families from the Yirza community in the northern Jordan Valley.
  • On March 7, 9 families were forced to leave the Eastern Aqaba community in the Jordan Valley.
  • On March 6, 13 families living in Khirbet Shaqara, near Duma close to Nablus, were forced to leave their area.
  • On March 5, the Arab al-Zawahra community in the same governorate was also displaced.

Attempts to establish new settlement outposts

According to the report, settlers attempted to establish eight new illegal settlement outposts over the past two weeks. These included setting up tents and livestock enclosures in Masafer Yatta, building an outpost in Beit Iksa northwest of Jerusalem, erecting a new tent on land belonging to the village of Abu Falah, rebuilding an outpost near Turmus Ayya, and placing mobile homes after constructing a road in the Yasuf area of Salfit.

In addition, this included rebuilding an outpost south of Qaryut (Nablus), setting up tents along the roadside between Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya and Salfit, and establishing a new outpost on Mount Ebal north of Nablus.

The activity is also reported to involve the Samaria Regional Council and the settlement organization Amana.

Attacks on property and religious sites

Settlers carried out 46 acts of vandalism against Palestinian properties and farmland. In addition, three religious sites were also targeted.

These included an attempt to burn the Mohammad Fayyad Mosque in Duma, an attack on the Majdal Bani Fadel Mosque, and repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound along with restrictions on Palestinians’ access.

Military orders to confiscate land

According to Moayyed Shaaban, Israeli authorities have approved a road and infrastructure project on land belonging to Beit Ummar, north of Al-Khalil (Hebron). The project is said to be part of preparations for a proposed new settlement called Ir Ha-Keren, which would be built to connect the settlements of Karmei Tzur and Migdal Oz.

During the same period, Israeli authorities issued 12 military orders initiating the confiscation of approximately 230 dunams (about 57 acres) of land in Ramallah, Jenin, Jerusalem, Jericho, Tubas, Nablus, and Salfit.

In addition, under what were described as “security measures,” 13 more military orders were issued instructing the removal of trees from 863 dunams of land. Of this, 380 dunams are reported to belong to the villages of Silwad, Attara, and Ein Siniya.

Warning of a serious situation

Moayyed Shaaban said that these figures reflect a dangerous and systematic increase in settler violence. According to him, these incidents are occurring alongside policies that allow settlers to impose new realities on the ground.

He called on the international community and human rights organizations to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities by taking steps to stop these violations and ensure the protection of the Palestinian people, their land, and their holy sites.
