Israeli attacks and ceasefire violations continue unabated in the Gaza Strip. On Monday morning, an injured Palestinian civilian died, while another person was wounded. This information was reported citing Palestinian medical sources.
According to medical sources, a Palestinian citizen named Ahmad Samir Farhat has died. He was critically injured two days ago in an Israeli attack on the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis. Meanwhile, another Palestinian was injured after Israeli shelling targeted a house in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.
According to reports, five Palestinians were killed on Sunday in Israeli shelling and gunfire in the Gaza Strip, including three members of the same family. Several other people were also injured during the attacks. It has been reported that the Israeli military is continuously violating the ceasefire agreement. These violations include daily airstrikes and artillery attacks, targeting displaced civilians, carrying out demolition operations in areas referred to as the ‘Yellow Line,’ and imposing restrictions on the movement of aid supplies and people.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, a total of 905 Palestinians have been killed and 2,713 people injured. In addition, 777 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble.
The ministry also stated that since the war began on October 7, 2023, a total of 72,797 Palestinians have been killed and 172,821 people injured so far. According to the ministry, these figures reflect the severity of the ongoing attacks and humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Health Ministry said that six Palestinians were killed and eight others injured during the past 24 hours. Among them, five people were killed in new attacks, while one person died from previous injuries.
The ministry also stated that many people remain trapped under the rubble and on the streets. Due to the ongoing attacks and ground conditions, ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach several areas, affecting relief and rescue operations.
