In her address at the Global India Maritime Summit, she highlighted Norway’s strategic expertise in maritime security and sustainable shipping, emphasizing the shared vision of the two nations in driving innovation and green transition in the sector.
During a bilateral meeting with Minister Sonowal, Minister Næss expressed her appreciation for India’s efforts in convening the global maritime community in Mumbai, and recalled Minister Sonowal’s impactful participation at Nor-Shipping 2025 in Oslo earlier this year.

To conclude her engagements for the day, Minister Næss visited the Cambay Tiger store, celebrating the growing trade ties under the India–EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), which has reduced tariffs on whole frozen Norwegian salmon to zero.
