The Bulgarian film “A Remain of Life” made its world premiere at the 56th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), being held in the state of Goa from November 20-28, 2025. The film is directed by Atanas Hristoskov (“Number 1”), and screenwriters are Teodora Markova, Georgi Ivanov (“Undercover”) and Nevena Kertova. The movie is based on Swami Tirtha’s book of the same name and is produced by the Kalpataru Foundation and INVICTUS. The cast is distinguished in addition to a strong Bulgarian and international presence – starring the Master is Lars Simonsen (“The Bridge”), his “students” are Alexander Alexiev (“Jack Ryan – Chaos Theory”, “Stolen Life”, “Ascension”), Vladimir Mikhailov (“Ascension”, “Brothers”), Strezo Stamatovski, and the British legend Clive also takes part Russell (“Game of Thrones”) and the winner of the Best Female Role Award at the Venice Festival Italian actress Marina Suma.
At the premiere of Axis of Life in Goa on 25th November 2025. were present both members of the film team and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria to India Dr. Nikolay Yankov, who expressed satisfaction at the opportunity for a world-class Bulgarian production to participate in the prestigious film festival and noted that in addition to its deep and captivating meaning, the film distinguishes itself by that, that it represents the exceptional natural beauties of Bulgaria, which will certainly attract many curious guests from abroad.
